The pebbles can be obtained naturally, from nature, or by industrial process. Natural pebbles are known as “river pebbles”, they have a rounded shape and a smooth surface, characteristics given by the waters of the rivers from which they are taken.

The pebbles produced artificially are constituted of different stones, ´rolled´ in machines to present an oval aspect. There are different types of stones that can beused, but one of the most used for the production of artificial pebbles is dolomite.

Pebble is a hard and resistant stone, but considered unsuitable for outdoor areas. This is due to the fact that it does not give stability to the circulation, and can become slippery.

They are products widely used in garden decoration and complementing areas that need irrigation, such as flower beds or winter gardens. Among several options, they are available in white (dolomite) and brownish (gravel) colors and come in large sizes (maximum 0.5 kg), medium and small (pebbles). They are an excellent option for landscaping and decorations that require refinement and good taste.

When used to cover floors and walls, the pebble can be laid by hand, loose, on the mortar, or it can be purchased in canvas in order to place them more quickly.

It is not necessary to make a waterproofing, however to preserve the stones it is recommended to apply a matte or glossy resin, which in addition to guaranteeing protection, emphasizes the tones of the material, highlighting its beauty.

Cleaning is easy, but for this type of stone to have a good lifespan, it is essential that it is paved with putty, otherwise they can easily come loose.
